Im not one to write reviews but I went in for general anesthesia at the komoka office for basic dental work due to being very uncomfortable with any dental work . They made me well aware there was a potential for delay for my appointment time. I arrived early for my 3:40pm time and was notified they were running 40 minutes behind. Understandable but a 30 second phone call would have saved a lot of time and planning of the evening for my ride .I proceeded to wait another 35 minutes in the waiting room going in at 5:15pm Once escorted into the room there was a feeling of rush to the whole process of sedation. Little explanation of what was going to happen prior and the staff seemed annoyed as the appointments prior didn’t run on time. Once I woke I was feeling very uncomfortable From the sedation and because my filling was rough to the touch and seemed to have not been smoothed over properly because I couldn’t close my jaw evenly. The dentist offered to grind it down stating I wouldn’t feel any pain. I felt extreme pain and discomfort. I stated in both my prior appointments I have a known history of not taking freezing well and will require extra freezing which apparently was never done . My dental Anxiety nightmare came true and seemed the $$$$ I paid out of pocket was for nothing. I will need a follow up appointment to smooth out the filling. Sedation dentistry is not worth it in my opinion

Dr Ali is amazing, after my initial new patient exam he developed a plan to repair and improve and repair some teeth and my over all health. He’s so gentle and takes real pride in his work. The outcome really shows, he is a true artist. The counter staff, hygienists and assistants I dealt with were all very nice and great at what they do as well! On top of this the clinic is always clean, I like that the sterilization area is out in the open so you’re able to see it and not hidden in the back somewhere out of sight. They also helped me with some financing which was amazing and Sarah was so helpful with helping me navigate that and answered all the questions I asked. I have had bad experiences with dentists in the past but this place is fantastic and they have landed a client for life.

Although my interactions with the newer dental assistants were generally positive, I couldn't help but feel that they may have underestimated my abilities at times. Specifically, I felt that they may have assumed that I was slower than I actually was.

As a sometimes nervous patient, I really appreciate the friendly service and 'bedside manner' of all the staff at the Komoka office. I want to call out Dr. Ali for his attention to detail and going the extra mile in ensuring my permanent crown is the best quality it can be - even when it required extra visits to get things right. Thank you!
